There is a fund raiser called Movember in which people get sponsored to grow a Mo (mustache) in November.
https://au.movember.com/
Those who have a mo shave them off and re grow them. All sorts of people join in the fund raiser, you see Mos in shop windows and on buses and trains etc.
I started growing my Mo in about 1972.
This is what happened yesterday.

It certainly will not get that thick by the end of November.
(My kids are wondering where their dad went.)

Stuart- The Mo was certainly impressive and distinguished, and the fund-raising is to be commended, but 50 years of marriage is to be congratulated!

Thanks everyone! The book-themed teapot is fitting because I got a couple new books for my birthday: Beard on Bread and The Nero Wolfe Cookbook (I just recently started reading all of the Nero Wolfe books). And I'm gonna need that tea because my birthday is apple pie spice angel food cake. :D

Walking home from the grocery store, I saw a car with a sticker that said "Stop texting and driving".
Less than a minute later, a woman almost walked into me because she was texting and walking!

I often get that on my walk to and from the gym. In the old days, you worried about people who walked around talking to themselves. Now, you see it all the time.

The thing I always think of when I see "don't text and drive" signs is that if you're texting while driving then you're not looking up to read the sign!

Also my favorite "talking to themselves" person is my neighbor who takes business calls while walking his baby. The baby is apparently familiar with the dad's phone cadence and does all the little talking hand gestures while riding in the stroller.
