So we are sending our new records to the International Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Dataset which, as it says on the tin, is the international repository for our sort of records. ICOADS is freely available to any user, and actively managed to make sure nothing gets lost over the years.
We're also experimenting with other ways of sharing the data - a large batch is already available in Google Earth, for example, and there will be more of this.

Some of the results, like those I've posted on the blog, and the ship histories on navalhistory.net, you already know about, but we are starting to have a much wider impact.
Weather & Climate:
There are at least 5 major climate reconstructions currently in progress using our new weather observations:Ship histories:
- 20CR Version 3 (NOAA/University of Colorado)
- Era-Clim (ECMWF)
- SODA (Texas A&M)
- HURDAT (NOAA)
- HadISST2 (Met Office)
New museum exhibits inspired by or involving our work are in planning or preparation at: Rule one of any project is "It always takes longer than you think - even after allowing for rule one", and that's certainly true here - none of this work is finished yet. But we've plenty to look forward to, and I'm confident that even more uses will emerge.
