Enderbury Island
https://www.geonames.org/7521590/enderbury.html is a 'second-order administrative division'. I didn't find a link to the Island.
It doesn't appear to be a tourist hot spot.

On that island, you will also find 'Blasted Boat Landings' which raises some questions.
Is that a judgement of the Boat Landings?
A judgement of the Boat?
Did a boat suffer a sudden misfortune at that location?
Then again, perhaps it was created by blasting?
Also, it is a canal rather than an anchorage.

Weird!

When I click on your link, I see see the number-icon indicating Enderbury Island, and only that number-icon, but if I zoom or move the image that number-icon disappears and the others appear

The trick is to click on the down arrow on the blue bar that says something like "Found 14 items in this area." You can sort the list by Name, Code etc. The list will not exceed 100 places, so you have to watch for that. If you're in a place with lots of places, you really have to zoom in to find what you're looking for. It can be quite frustrating.

Alternatively, you can use the gazetteer of the Position Tools in Journey Plotter.
It uses the geonames.org database, but gives you more search and filtering options than the geonames.org website.

Tuscarora 1876 seems to visit Ngoloa Bay, Kandavu Id a lot. I think I can find the island (https://www.geonames.org/2205118/kadavu-island.html) but not the bay.
Any help?
Tried Google and geonames.

With there being two references to Kandavu Id (https://www.geonames.org/2205118/kadavu-island.html) West coast of FIJI
And Kadava Id South of Fiji which I assume is the correct referance.

I was looking for Ngoloa Bay from the log pages such as
https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorag ... 33-033.JPG

I am sure Michael will find me when I upload the voyage.

Yep, the current Kadava is the right one (was named Kandavu even recently, as on this 1976 map: https://library.ucsd.edu/dc/object/bb2663326d/zoom/0) and Ngoloa Bay should be the current Galoa Harbor.

Added all missing places to geonames and the database. Thanks Stuart!
