Nice find Stuart  I wonder if he went to the same weather recording school as the staff on the Patterson?

The strangest thing I've seen on Twitter today.

Nice reminder Randi - ouch. Never thought about the boiling water that must be building up in a hose pipe :(

That map - Did they do it by 'pin the tail on the donkey'?

I have no idea what the point of it is.
Lisbon is now the capital of Spain and Madrid, logically I suppose, is now the capital of Portugal.
London is north of somewhere called Bringmeham and Oxford has moved way south.
The UK and Denmark etc are separated by the Barents Sea. Denmark' s capital is Legoland. :? ;)

   I initially just looked at the general shape rather than the details.

Wow! The more I look the stranger it gets!

Oh the map - yep - it is very odd. The places are all over the place. Not only countries, but towns too.

If you have a few minutes here's a TED talk by Danny Dorling (guess where he works?). Danny produces the most amazing maps: https://www.ted.com/talks/danny_dorling ... ere_we_are

If the map covered the whole world, Stuart, you might be living in Austria.
