This article points out how shade in Vancouver is more available in the "better" parts of the city.

Well I hope that Vancouver takes some action to spread the benefit of trees. In Oxford they threatened to take down some ancient trees that were minding their own business. They are still standing years later. :)

Sadly, that seems to be true in general.

Happy July 4th y'all across the Pond :D

I'd happily post something from a whaler - but they rarely report on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.

Happy Birthday to you Stuart!!!
Hope you are having a great day!
I thought a nice Ozzie teapot would help with making a cup of tea to follow Randi's amazing cake.

Well now, Stuart, when you see a kangaroo teapot you'll know what it is. Just make sure that you can get some of Randi's cake to go with it :D

How wielding lamps and torches shed new light on Stone Age cave art

An interesting, and very sensible, perspective.

Fascinating article. I wonder who was brave enough to fill their mouth with clay and spit it out. Wouldn't be surprised if it were one of the kids playing around :)

I would not do that this morning at my place as the clay might freeze then I would be in trouble. I am almost at sea level.
