The best solution was at the end. Teach your children not to litter.

Littering is bad enough, but it really infuriates me when it is recyclable....
Yesterday I went to breakfast at a friend's and I picked up two aluminum cans on the way home and put them in the recycle bin.
Then I went back for dinner and picked up three aluminum cans for the recycle bin.
There are still some left for the next time - I will try to remember to take a bag

Those scenes make me so angry.
Littering on those beaches is unacceptable. Littering is unacceptable. Unless people understand their community responsibilities the won't take their rubbish home or even as far as a bin. We need a major change in people's thinking patterns - less 'me me me' and more 'our our our' .

I guess that NASA must have to be careful about launching through the jet stream? :?

This article points out how shade in Vancouver is more available in the "better" parts of the city.

Well I hope that Vancouver takes some action to spread the benefit of trees. In Oxford they threatened to take down some ancient trees that were minding their own business. They are still standing years later. :)

Sadly, that seems to be true in general.

Happy July 4th y'all across the Pond :D

I'd happily post something from a whaler - but they rarely report on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.
