1886 is complete. The last weather data was logged on October 19 at Noon. The ship was being stripped in preparation for decommission and the weather instruments were removed. The last few log pages only had the event page filled in.

Well, Houston, we have a problem. There are no XML files for the work that Eric did!!!
I just did a unix find find command from the top of the tree for all XML files, and this is all that we have, August 4 to October 19, which are the ones you did.
Code: Select all
$ find . -type f | grep "\-039-" | sort | head -3
./Shenandoah (File responses)/Upload Files (File responses)/1886/shenandoah-039-18860804_125_1B6CDC62.xml

Well, I got the Shenandoah decommissioned and I'm reassigned back in time aboard the Kearsarge in 1882 New Orleans now. Please don't send me back to Callao again. It was a nice place with a
sunny mostly overcast drizzly beach, but I had all I could take of it, having been stuck aboard ship for months in 1885 because the city was under quarantine. I'm quite enjoying my time in New Orleans now.

No worries about going back to Callao. I had 21/2 months of Shenandoah 1867 to transcribe. Then, I have three or four years of very early Tuscarora. When I get those done and if there's no word from Eric, I'll transcribe the missing months of Shenandoah 1886. For now, I'll leave Eric's months in the Transcription Status sheet as "Done", and his name in the tracker. I'll give Eric a week or three to respond and, if we don't hear back, I'll mark the status sheet as "Available", and remove his details from the tracker.
