I reckon they are trying to see if we managed as much as one round without making mistakes that the CFO then kindly straightened out for us
Well done for your lightening strike talk Chris. I bet they were quite surprised?

In the latter half of 2021, many OW'ers were honored by their governments for staying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic due to a certain addiction.
(Pretty wishful thinking, but I sure wouldn't mind getting honored by Mrs. Merkel!)

Whatever the honours (medals/knighthoods?), they are well deserved!

This is a great and funny story line to go with such a painting- but may I ask, What is the painting about originally? It is so wild and unbelievable I seems it could only made up for something like OW. Someone went to a LOT of artistic time to convey some kind of story.
Thanks for the art lesson.

It's by
José Moreno Carbonero.
The piece is Almogavar Warrior. Late work (1898) based on a character from The Entry of Roger de Flor in Constantinople.

There is a nautical connection!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_de_Flor
At eight years old Roger de Flor was sent to sea in a galley belonging to the Knights Templars. He entered the order and became captain of a galley called "El falcó". After rescuing wealthy survivors during the siege of Acre by the Mamluk Sultan Al-Ashraf Khalil in 1291, he went to Cyprus. Following some intrigues and personal disputes he was accused of robbery and denounced to the pope as a thief and an apostate. This resulted in his relegation from the order. Roger fled to Genoa, where he borrowed a considerable sum from Ticino Doria, purchased a new vessel and began a career in piracy.

Oh gosh! I was not expecting this wonderful party! How kind Chris and everyone
Sitting out in such an elegant garden, with you all joining in in your own finery, is the way a birthday should be enjoyed!
Thank you so much
