Well, that was a wasted trip, she sailed away about about 126yrs ago. :? :shock: :cry:

However, I did find these pictures of the vessel taken in Sydney at that time.

Kearsearge is very popular in Sydney.
Almost everyday we are not fueling of coaling the log reports a large number of visitors from shore.

15 days in port before they had to send the discriptive list of a deserter ashore.
Things are improving. ;)

Maybe not. :(
Next day one more reported missing (returned by police later in the day.)
15 absent without authority being stragglers from liberty party, five returned later.
2 men declared deserters next day.

(Mind you Sydney is a nice place to desert to) :kangaroo:
