It went very well - quite speedy and professional, like the first.
Unfortunately, I already seem to be having worse side effects than the first: My arm already hurts a lot, and I'm feeling a little tired too.
Have to see how things go the next couple days. At least my employer is VERY understanding - they said it's OK if I'm out for the whole week, since this is important!

Glad you got your second shot! If you're lucky then you'll be like me. I had a solid 24 hours of feeling sick and miserable but was totally fine after that.

I was told to drink plenty of liquids.

My 2nd one was a bit worse than the first too. I got the shivers and slightly sorer arm but all was well quite quickly. I always feel tired and it might have felt a bit worse for 2 or 3 days but definitely worth it. Just hope the immunity is adequate for the delta variant (or Indian if you prefer) which is around here. Hope it's much the same for you.

It's odd to say that you are glad that your friends have been shot twice - but well done everyone! Well done Chris. And well done to your boss for having a sensible head on about time off to recuperate from the side effects.

Looks like I've fully recovered from the side effects - got the shivers Monday evening, along with hot and cold flashes, but those were gone the next day.
The muscle and head aches lasted longer, but are now gone too.
So I'll start working again tomorrow.
Pretty much everyone else in my family is fully vaccinated too, or will be, except for my half-sister due to being too young.
This is really great, especially with our US trip coming up soon

Have a good trip, especially now you are all vaccinated and can relax more. It's great to see family and friends you haven't seen for ages so I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.

The Province of British Columbia has just relaxed some of the restrictions imposed because of Covid. We are now allowed to travel anywhere in the province. The first result of this announcement: so many people logged onto the B.C. Ferry website to book travel to Vancouver Island that the website crashed.
And there are sailing waits, something we haven't seen for many months.

People are definitely itching to be out of doors! I am ready for the Brood X cicadas here to be done with so I can get back outside. I'm not ready to be in an indoor crowd but I am ready to get back to a park and go for a hike or something.

Saw another new German word inspired by COVID: Homeofficerücken "home office back"
It refers to strains and pains caused by too much home office with improper furniture.
Anybody had that problem? I've been lucky - when the lockdown started, my company was in the middle of moving, and my office chair was supposed to be thrown out as part of that, so I got to take it home instead.

Hope you get a good hike in April!
Chris - glad you managed to get our office chair!
I got an office chair from work way back in 1989 and nowadays it's illegal - almost entirely not adjustable. But if fits me fine - hurrah!

Wow, I'm impressed you've had the same chair for 32 years, Joan!
None of my chairs have even come close to that!

Ah - it's of the 'Old School' - designed to last and last and last
(It could do with a new cover, the fabric's getting a tad thin
)

The office chair I'm currently using is broken so I can't really shift around too much or it makes an alarming "CLUNK" noise
and I can't raise it above the lowest setting. Definitely have to get up and move around regularly to prevent the "home office back."
