Nearly 1500 positions have been added to the journey of HMS Dartmouth (1913-1915 and 1919-1921) in Journey Plotter, giving extra detail, especially when she was on patrol duties.
Also quite a number of previously unknown place and ship names have been identified.

It's been quite a while, but I did set these up in advance, so here goes:
Five little warships,
Off the Northern shore.
One got stuck in sea ice
And then there were four!

Where available additional positions have been added to the 1916 journey of USRC Manning in Journey Plotter, even hourly positions for her time in Alaskan waters.
The latter have been calculated by Michael.

I posted this today on naval-history.net's Facebook page:
In memoriam
We remember with affection Don Kindell who died earlier this month.
Don was a long-time friend and colleague of Gordon Smith, who established Naval-History.Net in 1998.
Don contributed so many valuable articles to Naval-History, including painstakingly assembled casualty lists from both world wars, ship movements and losses, convoy escort movements, and diaries.
As Gordon said, "Don Kindell's contribution to Royal Navy history has been enormous over a very long period."
Don was unfailingly polite and helpful to the volunteers at Naval-History and Old Weather, and we will miss him.
We offer our condolences to his wife, Carolyn, and to his family.
Caro and Maikel, on behalf of all our volunteer logbook editors

Four little warships,
Playing Shipopoly.
One got sent to Drydock,
And then there were three!
(Very good timing - there are currently four of us playing Shipopoly, and I think it won't be long before that's down to three!)
