12 April.
A fuel and water mixture from the port heeling tank, B-210WF, overflowed at frame 110 incident to filling this tank from the bilges. Mixtures was estimated to be about 70% diesel fuel oil and 30% water. Immediate action was taken to stop overflow from tank and to prevent additional overflow into harbor by stopping pumps, plugging drain scuppers, and providing catch cans beneath leaking scuppers. It is estimated that 1-1/2 barrels of the mixture of bilge fluid contaminated harbor water. Port authorities were notified, and the Californian Ship Service Company was called in to assist ship in cleaning up spillage.

So, if you're working in these dates, just Events that are interesting.
Ice hunting transcriptions were done for April 16 to June 7 and for July 13 to September 29, so only the date and the weather need to be done for those months now.

So, if you're working in these dates, courses and distances on the Weather page and course changes and bearings on the Event page.
No transcriptions were done for January 1 to April 15, June 8 to July 12 and September 30 through December 31, so a full transcription is needed for those months.

When you get this year done, I will have a struggle trying to merge all the data into one spreadsheet...

At Russel Id crew change and re-supplying the base there.
Its a long way into the ice fields, (73 27n, 116 24w) I wonder how often they get resupplied?

A cruise I was on in Aug 2015 (Same month at the Burton Id in 1954) and we tried to get between Melville Id and Russel Id Pt from the East (to traverse the North West Passage) and was unable to due to ice blocking the pass.
The way the ice is melting the NW Passage will be open most of the year. Good and Bad as your needs be.

They probably use helicopters.

Helicopters are fine when you get within range.
As you know a lot of that area gets frozen over and inaccessible by ships from a long way out.
I suppose if Shackleton and his men could survive for so long the base people could for a few years.
