It's like this. (My sister about 70 years ago.)

Good afternoon Michael, so that is snow.
I thought someone had overdosed the washing machine.

Last year, NOAA wanted some stats on how much data we were producing, and how much volunteer time was involved. In order to get a handle on that, I just went through or old and our new forums to see what work was done when. 2019 is deceptively low and 2020 is high because some files were done just extracting Ice data, probably 2019. Later, those years were done again just extracting weather data, probably in 2020. I can't split out what was done when, so the data goes in the last time in the forum the file was reported as being completed.

We started in 2017, but I didn't bother with that year. Many transcribers were still working on Phase III. Here are the stats:
