Happy Birthday and Many More!!
May the wishes you have today carry you through another year and bring you health, prosperity, happiness and fair winds in your sails.
After you cut it open- let us know what flavor that lovely cake is inside.

A Very Happy Birthday SleepyOwl
:D :D :D

A wise old owl teapot to keep an eye on that lovely cake that Randi found for you, and pour you a lovely cup of tea to wash it down ;) :D

Antartic post office is hiring - and counting penguins is part of the job
Awwwwe - brilliant!! What an amazing job. Okay - washing the paths of penguin poop will be a downside. But all those fluffy chicks to enjoy - delightful :D Worth investing in a peg for the nose and ear plugs ;)
Thanks Chris - I'll post this over at PW :)

Joan, your Hedgehog duty would give you a significant leg up in the similar experience category!

I think that you are right Morgan! Right - where's that application form? You know the best bit is that, just at the other end of that island is one of the very best on the PenguinWatch cameras. I'd love to go up there and wave into it so that I could turn up in the picture run. That'd give the PW volunteers a laugh.
I'm not sure if you know, I'm a moderator on the Zooniverse PenguinWatch project. It's great fun. Our youngest ever volunteer was about 2 years old :D

Both the penguins and the hedgehogs are as luck as we are to have you on their side!

Awwwe - thanks! It's brilliant news :D Zoos are so important to stressed species these days. We did a short study on Magellanics a year or so back. Again it's over-fishing that's part of the problem. I wish that someone would make white salmon/trout a good thing for farmed fish. Lots of krill gets fed to them to make them pink.
