Shipopoly
Re: Shipopoly
Lighthouse at "Chance" having served my timeout.
Roll 3+5=8>>> "GO TO DRY DOCK" have I missed something here? I have a little cash on hand- but that is because I have not landed on much to buy. Oh, well, maybe there is a biscuit or a custard tart somewhere here at drydock; Have you found anything Chris?
Be safe all.

Get them while they are hot!
Re: Shipopoly
Those look as though you made them yourself! How sweet. Thank you! I will quit complaining (and go find a snack.)

Custard tarts - my heart is yours for forever
Dog shakes his paws and throws 3+2=5 and moves to the ship Alacrity where he finds his own dog bed waiting for him in port

Re: Shipopoly
If I counted properly, I think this is...
Michael's move
From Scapa Flow: Throwing 2 + 4 = 6 => Dispatch Vessel Alacrity
Get your $200 for passing GO!!!
Joan owns Dispatch Vessel Alacrity and is owed $25 for owning one.
Please, Mr. CFO, make the appropriate payments.

That means you get to go again, Stuart, so please make sure to do so in this round!
Still in Drydock.Result of the dice: 3 + 1 = 4
Re: Shipopoly
6+6 blows me over to Dutch Harbor (I guess to revisit my good deed for the Russian Geologic Soc.) and pay my dues to Joan.
3+1 and I'm at Hong Kong, and pay my dues to Hanibal.
And I'll spring for a sail to add to Vancouver.

Also, you get to go again, since that was your second turn from the last round, so you still have to take your turn for this round.
Remember: When you throw doubles, you get to go again.

Re: Shipopoly
As I have eaten more goodies than I should, I will pay my fine and leave the Dry Dock.
Roll 5+2= 7>> Liverpool. That will be a nice change.
Mr CFO please arrange payment of my fine and fees to Joan.
Stay well all.

I'm not that mad on donkey boilers. I've heard, can't quite remember where, that you're a bit of an engine-head? Any thoughts?

Hi Joan.
In my short time in the Merchant Navy one of my first jobs was to look after a donkey boilers when the main steam boiler packed it in..
Not quite donkey boilers but recently I was working on steam train boilers, retubing them.

Mr CFO- please pass M200 around to whichever pot it belongs in- obviously not mine.

Re: Shipopoly
Actually, you start on Drydock itself, not the "Go to Drydock" space, so the 7 takes you to a Chest square, and you need to draw a card.
This means I can't process your other turn (the 7 from Liverpool to Naval Fines Office), as the Chest card might change your position.
Also: I am away from tomorrow till Saturday evening without my private computer, so that means we all get a little break.
Re: Shipopoly
No way!! Wow - that's more than I expected! Well - do you really think that they should be left in the hands of someone who once fixed a car accelerator system with an old biro lid? If you felt a need to increase your property port folio....pommystuart wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 10:11 pm Hi Joan.
