Called of the VW Muster at Barrington tops, to wet.
Ended up working at the local Election booth on the Saturday. Indoor and dry but long day, 0715-2300.

Than was a very long day, Stuart!

The power was out here for about an hour!
The wind continues to roar, so I hope the power stays on.

Wow, you're rich! The good thing about working for OW: it's an essential service, so no taxes are deducted.

Apologies to all thermometer lovers out there, but my new favorite way to guess how warm it is outside is seeing if the neighbor's beagles are wearing their little sweaters. No sweaters today, must be warmer!

Los Angeles has received a significant amount of its water supply from the Eastern Sierra (Think mover "China Town." ) They have reliable snow measurements back to about 1910 in the same courses about the same day every year. This year they are WAY over anything recorded. After 4 years of drought, now they are worrying about managing runoff.

I hope they manage to store some of the excess.
There may be another 4 years of drought.

Looks like we are in for a bit of damp weather over Easter. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-04-06/ ... 102195598

The Easter weather forecast was quite the event in the years before easy travel

I had a wonderful relaxing time with sisters in Illinois most of the time at a quilting retreat. Well, mostly relaxing; except for the tornado. We were in a large second story very open room and had to relocate downstairs to an inside area with lots of heavy supporting walls. 40 minutes later we went back to work. EF2 about 7 miles away, but fantastic squalls and clouds.

We were near Carlinville- half way between the town and the dark red polygon.
