I'm green with jealousy Sorry that the gray whale caught you out thoughMorgan wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 1:54 am To all the Whaler enthusiasts in the group, We went on one of our 4- hour vacations today. We are edging our way along the Southern California Coast. Today took us to Point Vicente. I, of course, went back to pick up my sweater just as the gray whale surfaced! Lovely day for whale watching, even without seeing one to watch!

Thank you Chris! Frankly - that's scary! Adelies are just 0.6m tall, and they look like this...(imagine swimming near a giant penguin at 1.7m)...

Rod Ponton, a county attorney in Presidio County, Texas, found himself unable to figure out how to turn off the cat filter on his Zoom call during a hearing.
“I’m prepared to go forward with it,” Mr. Ponton said, exasperated at the words coming out of his kitten face. Then, clarifying: “I’m here live. I’m not a cat.”
The video was shared widely, and Mr. Ponton took it in good spirits.
“If I can make the country chuckle for a moment in these difficult times they’re going through, I’m happy to let them do that at my expense,” he said.

I missed many of us, but west side folks Michael and Gordon and (I think) Bob can still enjoy the marvellous fun of the 12th February 2021:
12022021
It is a palindrome and an 'ambigram'. Not only can you read it left to right, or right to left, you can also turn it upside down and have the same numbers to read left to right or versa. You do need to use the UK direction of writing the date
I often don't know if I'm on my head or my feet, but this date was a good excuse

The next person has to post a word that starts with the two ending letters of my word. The next person has to post a word that starts with the last two letters of the previous word. And so on... Try not to post a word that makes the game impossible for the next person. If that happens, though, the next person gets to choose any word.
Example:
Person A- apple
Person B - leniency
Person C- cyanide
P.S. The game is called Fazan, which, translated into English would be Pheasant (don't ask me why).
