9:30 p.m. S.S. "Victoria" stood into anchorage. Received information from her that the sack of mail for the "Haida" had been left in Seattle.

Proof that Friday the 13^th brings bad luck.

A month of checking ships in Unimak Pass looking for evidence of illegal seal poaching...



Almost as bad as sailing the Inside Passage...
