To all the Whaler enthusiasts in the group, We went on one of our 4- hour vacations today. We are edging our way along the Southern California Coast. Today took us to Point Vicente. I, of course, went back to pick up my sweater just as the gray whale surfaced! Lovely day for whale watching, even without seeing one to watch!

‘I’m Not a Cat,’ Says Lawyer Having Zoom Difficulties

It was a civil forfeiture case hearing like any other hearing — except courts don’t usually let cats argue cases. Rod Ponton, a county attorney in Presidio County, Texas, found himself unable to figure out how to turn off the cat filter on his Zoom call during a hearing.

“I’m prepared to go forward with it,” Mr. Ponton said, exasperated at the words coming out of his kitten face. Then, clarifying: “I’m here live. I’m not a cat.”

The video was shared widely, and Mr. Ponton took it in good spirits.

“If I can make the country chuckle for a moment in these difficult times they’re going through, I’m happy to let them do that at my expense,” he said.

I love Mr Ponton's spirit! I bet he knows more about Zoom now. I'm wondering quite how many folks will use Zoom using filters from now onwards? Apparently my computer does not support the filter thing

Word game: Last letters link

I don't know if people have time for a game like this, but still..... This game is a game I have always played and loved. I post a word. The next person has to post a word that starts with the two ending letters of my word. The next person has to post a word that starts with the last two letters of the previous word. And so on... Try not to post a word that makes the game impossible for the next person. If that happens, though, the next person gets to choose any word.

Example:
Person A- apple
Person B - leniency
Person C- cyanide

P.S. The game is called Fazan, which, translated into English would be Pheasant (don't ask me why).
