Snow today!
We had a few flakes once or twice, but today I woke up to an inch or so of snow on the ground, and it is still snowing!
According to the forecast, it is supposed to remain just below freezing and snow all day. That remains to be seen...

11:48 Still snowing slightly, we must have almost two inches. About -1C.

18:14 Snow flakes continue to drift down. About -2C.

Tops of hills across the Clyde are white for the first time this year. Round here we had a sleet shower which subsequently froze so going out involves considering those bits of the paths untouched by the sun as 'dicey'. However, since the forecast for this afternoon is less promising I managed a morning walk which although slower than usual was incident free. Winter has arrived!!

Snowing! Don't think it will stick though, about 3C at the moment and ground very wet.

Long Beach temperature:
Indoors 19 C Outdoors 25 C. was as high as 27. Opening windows, with 16% humidity, it will drop 17 degrees over night and will be quite a bit cooler tomorrow. In an hour I will be closing down. Managing windows and doors is part of "my part" for climate change. Both local short term comfort and global long term.

High of 16C today
Average high is 6C.
The, presumably former, record high is 14C

I recently saw the following:
Q: What is the normal temperature here?
A: Above normal or below normal.

That seems to apply to Pittsburgh!

Yuk! I hate wet snow. Just seems to seep in everywhere and packs down to wet, slippery ice which is lethal. I like dry snow but I regret to say that ours in usually the wet type. When we get lots of it (rarely these days) then the thaw usually results in flooding.
