With Covid, many people are reporting strange dreams. For some reason, I was dreaming all night about being on the Yangtze Kiang River! Not sure where that came from!!!

PS For those of you that don't get the reference, for the past week I've been working out the 1930-31 voyage of the Panay_II as she works her way up the Yangtze Kiang River to Chungking.

Yep, went to the bottom of the wrong page -- this is September -- but anyway:

Yes...shipyard dreams might be similar (breathing all that airborne tolulene-based marine paint vapor and all). I once dreamed I was sailing close-hauled down the New Jersey Turnpike on the SSV Westward https://images.app.goo.gl/sskRoUPHEqBDtF5w9 and was under a lot of pressure to get the toll coins tossed into the basket from the leeward quarterdeck. Can't luff once you line up on the toll booth you know, and no way I wanted to shorten down. Went through there at about 8 knots with scuppers awash (with chunks of asphalt). As you see that dream left a big impression
