One of Pioneer's log entries may possibly refer to a buoy on the breakwater of Port Orford.
The port is referenced here

and a description of the Harbor here

The Bell Bouy in that place was there in 1930 and even before... i've added that to geonames and the database.
Not sure about the breakwater though... they usually had lights or beacons on them, and the little breakwater (not changed much in the years) is relatively far from the entrance buoy. Could you share the page for double checking?

A modern site for the data base.
Treasure Island, according to Wikipedia it is an artificial island constructed in 1936 (why we haven't met it before?) off San Francisco.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treasure_ ... _Francisco
https://www.geonames.org/5403319/treasure-island.html
However Shoshone cites it in 1940

It was indeed missing, for some reason, from the database... the correct geonames link is this one: https://www.geonames.org/5403321/treasure-island.html (the one you linked is a Treasure Island on Silver Lake, quite distant from San Francisco Bay, even if still in California)
It's interesting to compare the area in this 1915 map where the only existing one is Goat Island, with this 1949 map of the same area, where Goat Island has been renamed Yerba Buena Island and the big Treasure Island is visible. In the older map we can see the area where the island was built was however a pretty shallow water area, which makes sense, it must have been no joke to build it in the middle of the bay!
I've added the island to the database, will appear on reference thread with next update. Thanks!
And if we anyhow get a reference to "Yerba Buena Shoals", we can tell it's the shallow area where Treasure Island was built
