3rd November 1843 The statue of (E20-H20) Lord (I01-I06) Nelson was hauled to the top of the column in Trafalgar Square (London UK).



The designer of this monument was a Mr William Railton and the sculptor a Mr E H Bailey and the four bronze lions on the base, added in 1867, were designed by Sir Edwin Landseer.

The night before the official unveiling of the statue the stone masons and other workers held a banquet at the top of the column.

L 16 Up TUT King Tut's Tomb was found in November 1922. I've had a chance to see some of the artifacts. I wonder if the curse of opening it has carriied over to my computer, which is acting up these days.

If you've seen these incredible photos of people setting off floating lanterns that peacefully lift over bodies of water by beautiful temples, and always wondered where that happened, wonder no more! It occurs during (C12-11)Yi (K20-17) Peng, a festival celebrated mostly in northern Thailand and some regions in Laos. Yi Peng is a Buddhist festival that occurs during the full moon of the 2nd month of the Lanna Lundar Calendar, and the 12th month of the Thai Lunar Calendar. On the Western calendar, it usually falls in November and happens on the 15 and 16th in 2024. While it may be more crowded, it's a beautiful time to visit the northern city of Chiang Mai, as it also overlaps with another Buddhist festival, Loy Krathong, where people float rafts with candles on rivers.

8th November 1974 The world famous fruit and vegetable market at (C02-C07) Covent (D01 down I01) Garden in London closes after existing for more than 300 years.

P16 Across SADIE Nov 2 is traditionally Sadie Hawkins Day in parts of the US. Originally a comic strip story about marrying Sadie off, It turned into a "Girls ask Boys" dance occassion. We had Sadie Hawkins dances because we didn't have a football team- no fall homecoming dance. Not a formal dance- sometimes even dressed up a bit in costumes.
