At 0215 Moon set. Observed a large meteor to Sd burning with a pale green light.

Wondering if it was one of the ones mentioned in the link below (C1,P7)

The Jamestown also gets a mention at C1,P4. THE U.S. sloop of war Jamestown sailed from Valparaiso on the 3rd June, to determine the position of certain reefs and islands reported to have been discovered between the Equator and 24° N.

At 8:15 PM, a remarkably large and brilliant meteor appeared in the NE, taking a course to the Eastward. At 10:50 PM, observed another brilliant meteor in the West.

Lackawanna 1873, at anchor off Kobe, Japan, October 26, 1873:
At 6.20 [pm] observed a brilliant meteor that originated in the constellation Andromeda passed over an arc of about 120deg to the Wd and disappeared in the constellation Bootes. A slight hissing noise could be heard as it passed overhead. The motion was rapid and the meteor was not visible more than five seconds.
