December 1873 is complete. I think it rained nearly every day in December 1973 in Nagasaki, Japan. Sounded bleak.
And for fun there was either shore leave or observing a court martial - and sometimes the former, led to being the star of the latter ... that being the nature of shore leave.

There is a tiny bit of June to do - hopefully that will follow from the May data set. I'm off to find a new year to work on.

Entry in log for Lackawanna 05/27/1873 Events of The Day that says "at 11:00 PM bore WNW." I'm not sure what this is referring to. Does it mean that there was a cc or is it referring to the location of the Oosima light?

I think it is the bearing of the of the Oosima light that they had just mentioned..
