1976 — USS Spiegel Grove (LSD 32) and LCU 1654 (a Landing Craft Utility vessel) evacuate 276 American and foreign national refugees from war-torn Beirut, Lebanon and transport them to Athens, Greece.

Greely and six of his exploring party from Cape Sabine, where they are marooned for three years.
Survivors are shown on board the USS THETIS, at Cape Sabine on July 4-8, 1884.

San Juan. The Spanish destroyer Terror joins Isabel II in an attempt to torpedo USS Saint Paul, which fires at Terror, damaging the ship.
