Quite slow, 55 sec to get to the unread posts and around 30-40 sec for pages from there on.
I guess it is peak time in the UK.

It has been fine for me for several days.

Bob had mentioned that another user on the server that is shared by the OW forum was consuming excessive bandwidth. My guess is that it may have been unintentional and the system administrators worked with the other user to resolve the problem, or the other user discovered the problem on their own and fixed it.

That is definitely possible.

However, Bob also mentioned that having too many entries in the banned IP list could problems.
He cleared that list, but it did not seem to make a significant difference.
On March 15 Caro and I decided to try clearing the banned email list. That had about 260 emails  and all were with wild cards. I have not had any problems since then.

Early this morning (about 10 hours ago) I was having intermittent problems connecting. Seems to be some sort of security certificate issue, but that sort of problem is usually not intermittent.

I expect the website's hosting company had problems or was performing maintenance.

Yesterday morning (European time) saw all sorts of problems.
At times the forum was reachable, but extremely slow.
Other times you were met by an error 503: Forbidden.
Or by certificate problems, where the hosting company's certificate was used instead of the forum's own Let's Encrypt certificate.

All working normally again this morning.

Yup, I had a lot of problems this afternoon too.

Fatcow is our host, and it looks like they have been having, and maybe still are having, problems: https://downdetector.com/status/fatcow/

Yeah, yesterday afternoon the forum just stopped loading for me entirely but so far this morning it seems to be okay. Hopefully whatever was wrong is sorted.

Just now the forum was down for me for a few minutes. Some kind of "general error" code. Seems to be working fine now.

The forum has been down, on and off, for about 24 hours. We're hoping to get the problem fixed soon.
Thanks for your patience everybody.

I just encountered the problem a short time ago. Here is the message I got:

User 'owmods' has exceeded the 'max_questions' resource (current value: 150000) [1226]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

Glad we're back up! I was getting a "file not found" on the forum for a bit there and was wondering if we got caught in the same outage effecting the airlines and such. But we seem to be back to normal now! :D
