The morning Distance entries for November 10 appear to have been mistakenly entered starting one hour below where they should have been entered. The Course and Wind Direction columns have 13 entries. I will transcribe the Distance 2AM entry at 1AM and everything below that, one hour earlier. I'll transcribe just the first 12 entries for Course and Wind Direction since the final entries in both columns are dittos and appear to have been entered by mistake. I'll add a transcriber comment.

I've just processed 5,006 positions, which is a new speed record! You must really like Montevideo!   I was looking at a brief history of Uruguay, but it said little about the year 1880, other than the military was in charge.

Except for a couple of brief excursions to Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, the entire year was in Montevideo. There was a civil war in Argentina while there, but little mention in the log.

In spite of being away from my PC for breakfast and for the three hours walking to and from the gym for my exercise class, I've just finished calculating the positions. I'm stopping for tea, but I should be done this by the end of the day. A record for sure, doing a complete 366 day voyage in less than one day.
