So many good friends have died since we started OW. Chris was so young, most of the others had so much longer on this earth. Mind you he did manage to pack an awful lot into his all too short life. Still I have gained a great deal from them all, may they all rest in peace.

The first time I've seen this behaviour recorded in a ship's log

Called all hands to witness punishment. Punished Peter Clark (Seaman), 12 lashes with the cats for insolence to the Boatswain and saying that the Officer of the Deck might kiss his ass.
