Jamestown reports an aurora in last watch on 16 April 1882

From 9 to 11 a slight Aurora Boralis was observed.

0200 Saw a remarkably brilliant Aurora Borealis.

Also mentioned further down on Page 289 of the previous article.

Is a pity that the Yantic did not see this one as reported in the Philadelphia news. She was in Norfolk Va at the time. I guess being overcast spoiled the view. :( :roll:
