It does look a bit odd, but it may be because he is putting on the glove?

Given the gun, I suspect it is bad log keepers that they are hunting.

Since I will be away over the weekend, I'll do one post now and another on Monday evening:

Ooo, This one is spooky. I recognize modern horror images, but I expect classical one to be 1) close to real life, or 2) kind of a heavenly, angelic or even demonic bent. This one looks like it was intended as a portrait. Ouch!

How do I get that big knife? Or, do I just submit the name of this logkeeper. I think he got a new marker for his birthday...

This is one of the more legible pages.

That's my guy. He likes dragging things across the page when the ink is still wet so he can admire the smudges.

I bet his hand-writing is better than some of the logkeepers!

"Gabriel Max kept a herd of monkeys from 1869 to about 1873, which he photographed and sketched. Later he used the material for large paintings in which he sometimes depicted the animals as people."

I like the uniform of the day. So much more elegant than Muster Blue Uniforms. I'm looking forward to the crowd of adoring women.

All of these fancy- dress occasions, and I just joined at the beginning of the pandemic when we had no opportunity to have gallant parties!
