Well, it's not Prussia, or Saxony, or Bavaria, or even the Holy Roman Empire - I'm stumped! ;)

Under the heading "You can't make this up"...

Tugboats fail to dislodge huge ship stuck in Chesapeake Bay
Efforts failed Tuesday to refloat the huge cargo ship that is stuck in the Chesapeake Bay, the Coast Guard said.

Seagoing agencies will try again Wednesday to free the Ever Forward from the bay floor, a Coast Guard spokeswoman said.

...

The Ever Forward ran aground after leaving Baltimore for Norfolk on March 13. It apparently missed a turn in the deep channel leading down the bay.

...

World attention was focused a year ago on a ship in the same commercial fleet, the Evergreen line, that became stuck in the Suez Canal.

Unbelievable! I wonder if the captains of the Ever-boats used to run a hauliers company - they seem to be obsessed with the need to put wheels on all of their shipping since they do connect with hard surfaces fairly often. I wonder if it's a scam - they now offer the chance to buy them off using things like busy ports, large canals (I bet Panama is getting a bribe ready right now) etc

I assume that there was a pilot on board at that time and I think the Captain has to bend knee to the pilot, so cannot be blamed.
