Same here! Today, we had at least five periods of snow/hail, with sun in between. Not nice at all!

It's just a few tiny flakes drifting down, but it is snow

Weird weather, quite chilly at night, then it starts to warm up but yesterday a chilly breeze. So pleasant for walking but, certainly in my garden, not pleasant sitting in the sun. However, today the breeze had dropped and I had lunch outside and spent the afternoon in shorts and short sleeved top pottering in the garden till about 4pm. Now distinctly chilly and needed a burst of heating. Still, since this is Scotland you dress to the weather and not the calendar - it could be a lot cooler than this in July!

You are having our weather or we are having yours :D
It was warm, but the last couple of days we have had freeze warning for early morning - and even a few tiny snowflakes a couple of days ago!

Record high for this period: 90 (in 1896)
Record low for this period: 14 (in 1875)
Randi's data demonstrates the age old question regarding the difference between weather and climate. Very interesting. Those are sure old ones.
Stay warm on the chilly mornings, Randi.

Must be a Bank Holiday. Raining, windy and distinctly chilly - I got out the thermals to cope with the drop from Saturday when I was sitting in the back garden having lunch clad in shorts and teashirt. (I only wear shorts in the garden - it's bad manners to frighten the horses). A slow improvement is forecast over the week so here's hoping they've got their sums right.

Oh - I suppose I out to be glad too. It is cold and wet, but roasting and sweaty weather would be horrid :? I might feed the hedgehogs and hibernate early tonight :)

We're suffering from rain measles - bright red spots of intense rain on the radar and so lots of water arriving in the garden lake outside ;) :)

I've always been a fan of the European Centre's Medium range Weather Forecast (ECMWF). Their model is the gold standard for computer weather forecasts. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute and NRK (the Norwegian Broadcast System) have teamed up to produce a new website to display weather forecasts for virtually anywhere in the world. Here's the detailed forecast for Victoria, B.C. Enter your location in the Search box, and then bookmark the site for future reference. As you can see, you can display a summary forecast, a highly detailed forecast, a UV forecast (under the Nearby tab) or a weather map.

They produced the new website in December, but I have been downloading the data from their old site, which is soon to disappear. I had to spend a few hours this morning to decode their HTML file so as to display the data as text.

Enjoy!

My report is somewhat more home-spun:
May:
several hot water bottle nights
a few extra fleece over the duvet nights
numerous 'too wet to go out's
several 'too wet to go on the grass' days
also several 'don't put your arms out you'll get blown clear into the next county' days
sunshine - probably in the South of France
