News from HelenJ
"I was diagnosed with a recurrence of last year’s cancer at the end of March, and am now having chemotherapy.
This is not expected to cure the cancer, but hopefully will improve symptoms and extend life.
The initial treatment is 6 cycles, and I've had 2 so far.
I have excellent support from a splendid Macmillan nurse, who is determinedly adjusting medication to get the best outcome, especially for back pain.
Given that the outlook for travelling anywhere much isn’t great, I'm hoping to get back on board Cambrian and Fleetwing, and seeing the world that way."
We're all hoping that Helen will be back with us at OW and NHN soon.

Well, it's great to be back! I'm editing HMS Cambrian, which has been waiting for a while. As soon as I saw the log page I was immediately back into the swing of it all, and remembering so many wonderful RN ships. I think this is going to help to keep me sane through a difficult time, and give me some virtual travel when the real thing isn't possible.

Delighted to see you here!

I'm so happy to see you back. It's been quite a while since we were together on the Patterson.

Enjoy the Cambrian, Helen. It's lovely to have you back here. No-one could ever have imagined, back in World War 1, how those ships' logs could make such a difference to us folk 100 years off in the future. They are mighty comforting in their own way.

Thank you all - it's good to see some familiar names still around here. I'm hoping to make some steady progress on Cambrian - at the moment she's in Rosyth, it's February, and there's a skeleton crew onboard, and I'm still happy to be there. So once I reach more exciting and warmer parts of the world my joy should know no bounds!
