Re: Handwriting help, and spelling
Thanks for the suggestions, Michael! I did check the pages on imaging but it doesn't look like Irfan is MacOS compatible. I tried Apple's native photo editing, which is rather robust, but I couldn't find a way to take a snapshot of a whole page of the log to work with. I was spending more time tryin...

Re: Whaling log symbol
Anyone know what the hash mark in the margin might mean? Next to Sunday Sept 5th and Sunday Sept 12th.

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi Morgan, That's alot of what I did when I volunteered there; painting. My favorite work was a phase before that tho; chipping rust. So satisfying , after a week sitting at a desk, to swing a ball peen hammer at a spot and see bits of rush fall off. My favorite memory at the pier was when Eur...

Re: Introduce yourself
I believe I came across oldWeather when googling for a term I'd just heard; citizen science. I love things maritime. -the majority of my male relatives were in the US Navy -I grew up in a land-locked, flat, state of the US so I have an affinity for mountains and big water -I volunteered as a re-enac...
