Good heavens. I knew I had been involved for a while but I joined shortly after the launch so I could celebrate my own 12th anniversary sometime over the next few weeks. Between us all we have a lot of data, weather and history, that we've made available. Splice the main brace fellow OWers.

I'm a longtime veteran too. Don't remember the exact date, but it was within the first couple weeks after project launch.
Where did you first hear about OW? I read about it in a BBC article.

I probably found it mentioned in Science News magazine. If it wasn't that, maybe Smithsonian magazine.

I picked it up in a BBC article as well. That first interface could be clunky but it was great fun!

Wow, that brought back memories - Especially of those who are no longer with the project for one reason or another, such as Janet Jaguar, Craig and Bunting Tosser.

My first post was sometime in Spring 2011 - about half a year after I'd joined! No idea why it took me so long.
