Whatcha listening to?
Re: Whatcha listening to?
Oh, Stuart. You caught me in. I heard a song "Reynardine" about a man who found a beautiful young lady in highlands. He caught me up with his narration. Unbeknown to me, there are mythological creatures called werefoxes. Both the young lady and I were doomed!
Nice link, I will listen, but only when I have time to really listen closely. Highland songs are wonderful ballads and I have trouble catching all the words. When I watch British television I sometimes have to turn on the subtitles. Hard to do with radio. Thanks very much.

Hi Morgan.
Glad you like the link.
I have the same trouble with some American accents and the speed they talk at.
(That statement will not make me many friends in the USA but that's the way it is.)
My hearing deteriorates from 10dB at 2000hz to 58dB at 4000hz and onwards on the same line.
Glad you like the link.

Spent an extra two minutes in bed this morning listening to my radio. Couldn't pass up modern IT sea shanties!

This is a nice usually relaxing station from Port Douglas QLD Australia.
http://onlineradiobox.com/au/1063thelounge/player
Not sure if it is 24/7 for the OS listeners.
Enjoy

I went looking for them after listening to their song "When the ship hit the sand" on Highlander Radio.

They're good! Tried 'Sam's gone away' for a starter - very good singing. Nice one, Stuartpommystuart wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 10:47 pm http://boundingmain.com/

I think this guy is a good presenter.
He has a slot on Celticradio.one but this is his web site.
https://mandodave.com/kitchen-party-ceilidh
Enjoy the bluegrass, celtic, country, folk and rockabilly music along with info on the artists.

For just calm background sounds try this site.
https://jenny.torontocast.com:2000/public/earthradio
It does not have many listners yet, but the station has only just started broadcasting in the last few weeks.

Re: Whatcha listening to?
I noticed that the number of listners on the Earth Radio had gone up from 2 to 4 this morning (my time 0730)
The word is getting round.
After a while I do switch back to

Very nice. A little laid back to do housework with (I need something more like Sousa Marches to keep me going) but great for relaxing. There were only 2 while I was listening also- kind of makes me wonder who is this other person somewhere in the world to whom I am tenuously connected.

Hi Morgan.
It's probably me you are tenuously connected to.
It seems to rain a lot with thunderstorms where they record the music.
