Here is a new little guy born (hatched, I guess) at our local aquarium. They are working to increase the gene pool.

OH1 That one is a real "Feel Good " post. Thanks for pointing it out. I am going to talk to my daughter, I have a couple of her prom or brides maid dresses still at our house (and I would love to have the closet space.)

The hedgehog article that came after the foxes was good, too. Since I have learned a little more about hedgehogs on OW.
I, myself, am setting up a wildlife cam to see if I can catch a view of the skunk that comes around periodically.

I remember, many years ago, walking past a parking lot and seeing a skunk running. I looked in the other direction to see what had frightened it and saw a couple of guys sprinting away from the skunk! I didn't smell anything, so hopefully all escaped unscathed :D

I suspect that skunks may be best viewed on camera rather than at close quarters! My only claim to wildlife fame was a waxwing in the garden some years ago. They are unusual in the west and it made the Renfrewshire rarities list for the month. My neighbour's kids who were junior members of the RSPB were most impressed. The RSPB warden thought it might have been blown off course by the previous night's gale and it was stoking up on my cotoneaster berries.
