Great image! It looks like an updated version of the Pinky Ponk.

I tried using Pinky Ponk as the prompt, with Steampunk as the art style.
The result definitely did not look as friendly as the original. :D

That's neat! Just goes to show I am not as creative as the computer.

I'm not sure it's vanity to dress up as a mark of respect for this awesome project ;) And I'm glad that I can blow some bubbles to keep the joy of the forum going

Joan, I like your interpretation. It makes sense to me. But what did the artist intend? All that money, jewels and finery, and blowing bubbles? Was that the sign of leisure in the day? If it is not too windy today- which it has been this past week- I may just have to crack out the bubbles I keep for the neighborhood kids and have a bit of leisure. Without the fancy dress.

Hi Morgan,
Like you I'm a bit bemused by the bubbles! I understand the Vanity or Vanities, all is Vanity and the skull. I guess the bubbles show the transience of life and how little substance we had to the earth?
Oooo - that's deep.

It's a great picture - love the pink skirt ;)

Thank you, Randi and Joan!!!

It's always been a fun thing to do, since you enjoy it so much. I especially love it when my post sets off a big discussion about whatever.
So, without further ado, here is this week's post a day early:

from me too.
I think I should point out that my slippers have the same sole holes as the chap sat on the right - heels out and toes out.
And like the chap in the middle I raise my glass to lots more Dockside Gallery fun ;)

Keep up the good work Chris! :D

HUZZAH! It's better than a book club for art. All the fun and you don't have to read the book.
THANKS.
(And the black forest cake looks tasty.)
