Thanks everyone - especially Joan! It will indeed not be long before I get back to chopping away at the Haida :)
However, I think it was a good idea to not bring my private computer, as it means I have a few things to look forward to when I get back. And that is something nice to have at the end of a vacation, especially one to such a great place as this.
So I think I will do it again next year!

I don't have a laptop, so when I go away, I have no choice but to leave OW work behind. Of course, I can check in to the forum each day with an iPad. It is good to have a break, and then it's great to get back behind the oars again.

Definitely a good idea that when you choose to take a break you do something like leave the computer behind to make you stick to it! Glad to head the trip is going well enough that you're eager to do it again. :)

OW'er gets very hot in the summer.

Based on my recent vacation in New Jersey, which unfortunately has come to an end :(
Thank goodness we were all in an air-conditioned house on a lake, close to the ocean!

(The return trip was uneventful, but quite tiring. Jetlag is not fun at all)

So glad to hear that you had a great holiday Chris :D

The jet lag sounds bad though. Now that you are back in the OW (Ship)fold you might need one of these to help with it. I'm sure we've got one tucked away somewhere... ;) :)

I thought he looked contrite, but I don't think he was, and I think the logs proved me correct.
