Neat! I didn't know that.

Hey Hey! 5 foot 2inches - maybe I could wear that hat!

Or maybe he is trying to exorcise the bad writing from a log keeper

Re: Dockside Gallery
That would be a great thing!!!
Re: Dockside Gallery
He'll appreciate this practice run when he gets up to dealing with Lieutenant Scrawl. He may need a host of heavenly angels to back him up.

Happy 5th Birthday to
Hanibal's Dockside Gallery!
Hanibal's Dockside Gallery!
Re: Dockside Gallery
Oh wow, thanks Randi - it only just occurred to me about an hour ago that the anniversary would be coming up!
It sure has been fun, tracking down suitable pieces of artwork, coming up with fitting captions, and then seeing how much you guys enjoy them.
I never thought it would even come close to lasting this long when I started it, but I'm glad it has!
And I'm not in any danger of running out, either. At the moment, I have enough material for at least a whole year, at the rate of 1 per week (too lazy to count at the moment), and I'm sure I will find more. There's always been more - in fact, I just came across another three paintings earlier today!

A sign of covid quarantine-itis: Seeing the image and realizing that it is Saturday
Re: Dockside Gallery
Addicts of OW wander before the great work 'The Arrival of Hanibal with the New Saturday Dockside Gallery Artwork'. A suitably monumental piece.
Congratulations Chris for 5 great years of Dockside Gallery. I was so surprised to see it come up on the 'unread' list that I had to check the day of the week today (definitely covid-calendar head )

Re: Dockside Gallery
I joined to work on weather and climate- who knew I would learn so much art history along the way! Thanks, Chris.

Re: Dockside Gallery
It feels gladiatorial at times - nice to know we can get a decent rinse-off afterwards
