Re: Interesting Log Entries
Checked in my 2 vol Shorter Oxford Dictionary - nausable not there. Not paying £90 per year for access to the full OED online which includes the historical data and a thesaurus. The local reference libraries which might have a full paper OED are shut for Covid. Ah well, people who like words will d...

I have just been watching "High Arctic Haulers" on TV tonight. S1E1 was well worth a watch. The vessels are working in the High Arctic above Canada. I am waiting to see if they visit any places I have been to, Grise Fiord is one they are going to. Should be available to watch somewhere on...

What a wonderful write up. Thank you Michael. I could spend a lot of words in reaction, but 'proud' and 'glad' are the only two required. Proud to be part of this immense project, and glad to have a share in it with all the dedicated, and talented, friends of the forum.

I remember Joan mentioning NASA's need for whale oil a long time ago, but I just came across this article... Whaling for NASA on the Tom and Al Oh my goodness - well found Randi! What a shame that Andrew Marshall didn't find it for the great Reuter's article 'Ice Bound'. Still - he did ask NASA, an...

I had not looked that closely at your avatar; I would recognize you on the street. You look like Mrs. Thatcher- only younger.   You'll have Maggie turning in her grave. Under the heading "You can't make this up"... Tugboats fail to dislodge huge ship stuck in Chesapeake Bay ... Unbelievable! I wonder if the captains of the Ever-boats used to run a hauliers company - they seem to be obsessed with the need to put wheels on all of their shipping since they ...

I was sure that I knew what 64 was, then I discovered I was a looooong way out. Took quite a few minutes trying to work out what to put in as a guess. My sympathies, Stuart!
