Horrible ink and writing ::)

I'll go with finding.

It might be record rather than accord :-\

I sincerely doubt there are any hotels there. It looks like the nearest ones are in Iqaluit, 1138.5 nautical miles to the south although Resolute Bay might have something. Either way, room service would be a tad expensive and your meals might be cold.  ;)

This is the accommodation I found at Etah which is close to where Eastwind is.

Completed passage of Fury and Hecla Straits from West to East reaching a point south of Ormonde island located at eastern extremity of strait. This is the first passage ever made of Fury and Hecla strait by any vessel.

After some time, I'm able to catch up on the Eastwind. Here is the spring voyage (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1LgSUJM9hzzI8XwUahyV2jxXi5wMS4aJU) for 1948.

I remember that one it was a boring voyage.
Next one should be a bit better up to Resolute Bay and some ice.

Why life is difficult for the diligent position calculator...  :'( :'( :'(

Quote
Canadian Air Charts used for piloting through Prince Regent Inlet and Gulf of Boothia, coast line difficult to identify due to low terrain making visual bearings and radar bearings and ranges difficult to obtain. Coast line found to be inaccurately charted south of Cape Kater. Lavoie Island were not sighted visually, suspected radar contact but not verified.

I.e. We don't know where we are, and even if we did, it would be wrong!  ;D

That was an interesting voyage.
It brought back memories of my voyage up in those areas.

Did you note the U.S. Weather Bureau setting up weather stations on Canadian territory?

No I did not.
I either missed it of did not associate any significance to it.
